Contemporary Art Manager, Producer & Advisor

Carolina Pelletier Fontes was born in Lisbon, where she continues to live and work. Her professional practice is primarily focused on exhibition production, collection and archive management, the development of curatorial projects, research, and text production.

Carolina’s experience in the art world thus far has involved close collaboration with a diverse range of settings, including artists, museums, galleries and collections. As a freelancer, she writes articles on contemporary art and occasionally curates and produces exhibitions. Her practice is mainly focused on emerging artists, independent non-profit projects, transnationality and geography’s visual culture. Carolina is continuously interested in implementing multidisciplinary proposals, by bringing meaning to art objects and concepts through contextual and critical approaches.

She is currently the Collection Manager for
FAS - Forward Art Stories, a contemporary art collection focused on celebrating the diverse narratives and artistic expressions of the African continent and its diaspora.
